Racing truck of international crew “One belt – one road” became a pearl of MotorSport Expo in Sokolniki Moscow.

MotorSport Expo took place from 3 rd to 5 th February in Moscow Congress and Exhibition Center “Sokolniki”. The guests explored the unique sporting vehicles, the ancient racing cars, the racing simulators and even the racing boats. The Organization of Silk Way Rally also took part in the exposition. Everyone had a chance to take a photo with the real racing truck of “One belt – one road” Team, which was represented by Russian and Chinese sportsmen during the competition of last year.

The key objectives of Motorsport Expo are to gather all kinds of racing sport professionals, to create a target audience of racing competitions and to “refuel” this sporting field, even in the middle of freezing Russian winter! The Organization of Silk Way Rally, which is targeted to promote motorsport in Russia and other countries, could not miss such a chance.

Expo guests got a valuable opportunity to see KAMAZ-4326 – the only vehicle that was driven and not carried on the stage – with their own eyes. Driving this truck Chinese racers Hou Hongning and Shen Xin together with Russian mechanic Andrey Mokeev won the fifth place on Silk Way Rally 2016. The international team was created upon the initiative of rally general partner – Gazprom, and became a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Russia and China. This 10-ton truck drives top speed of 163 kmh and due to its 16-liter power unit accelerates to 100 kmh approximately in 10 seconds. The visitors made tons of pictures with the famous KAMAZ, some of them even got a chance to hop into the cabin of this real racing vehicle. The attention of guests was also attracted by Toyota – the official car of Silk Way Rally, which had just come back from the route reconnaissance of 7 th edition: reco specialists on 12 Toyota cars explored the famous Turfan Basin and the Kumtag Desert. This area is known for its exceptional summer heat and quicksands, which will challenge the skills of competitors as soon as this July.

The visitors were happy to take picture of themselves standing by the Rally Champion Trophy shape of White Tiger – the talisman of the transcontinental competition. The youngest fans of rally-raids even competed with the remote controlled Silk Way Rally cars. The 7 th edition of Silk Way Rally starts in summer 2017. On July,7 the parade of vehicles will take off from Moscow Red Square for the longest race in the world, get through two weeks of amazing adventures and hot struggle in the open spaces of two continents in order to finish in Xi’an – the ancient cradle of Chinese civilization – on July,22.
