History

About the rally

In 2013 the key values of SWR brand, such as speed, adventures and accepting challenges in extreme conditions, got an all-new showing on the way from Moscow and Astrakhan. A hard 4000-km long journey with 3000 km of selective section under an exhausting heat made the competitors recall famous Africal cross-country rallies. Jean-Louis Schlesser (France) had participated Silk Way Rally two years in a row, and this time the two-time Dakar champion and six-time Africa Race champion got his cup for the first place in car class on Silk Way with a help of his buggy car. KAMAZ-master once again confirmed its leading position with Dmitry Sotnikov, taking over the championship in truck category.
